This Video Processing System Management System Policy (hereinafter referred to as “Video Policy”) is established and disclosed by Dongsung Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “DDM”), which is intended to inform customers of how video data gathered by DDM is used and controlled.
Article 1. Grounds and Purpose of Installation
DDM has installed and operated a video processing system (hereinafter referred to as “System”) for the following purposes under the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act, Article 25(1):
- facilities safety & fire prevention;
- crime prevention for the safety of customers inside and outside the shops; and
- prevention of vehicle theft and vandalism.

Article 4. Hours of Shooting, Retention Period, and Storage & Handling of Data

- Handling method: We record and retain matters related to use beyond intended purposes, disclosure to third parties, disposal or request to access. Upon expiration of the retention period, the data will be permanently destructed in an irreversible manner (printed materials will be shredded or incinerated).
Article 5. Entrustment of System Installation/Management
DDM entrusts part of its works related to the installation and/or management of the System to the following third party, and also stipulates the matters necessary for the entrusted party to ensure safe and secured protection of personal information as stipulated in applicable laws and regulations.

Article 6. Access & Location of Personal Video Data
- If you want to access the video data, please contact the Chief Protection Officer in advance and arrange a visit to DDM.
- Video data is stored at the Disaster Prevention Office (Electrical Department of the Facility Team, DDM)
* When you request to access the video data, you must fill out a request form and submit it to the department in charge.
* See [Annex Form No. 4] of the CCTV Installation/Operation Regulations.
Article 7. Response to the Data Subject’s Request
You may, at any time, submit a request to the Chief Protection Office for access, confirmation or removal of your personal video data, provided that it is limited to the personal video data in which you have been captured or data immediately needed for the safety of the life, body, and property of the data subject.
We will promptly take action as requested.
Article 8. Measures to Ensure the Safety of Video Data
The video data collected by DDM is safely controlled with necessary actions including but not limited to encryption algorithms. To protect personal video data, full or limited access permission is granted to persons only on the condition of necessity for work on administrative measures. As measures against tampering or falsification, creation of timestamps, purposes of access, the number of users, and access timestamps are recorded and controlled. A locking system is also installed at the storage location for physical prevention.
Article 9. Amendment or Alteration
Customers will be notified of any addition, deletion, alteration and/or modification in this Video Policy due to changes in applicable laws and regulations or security technologies via the website’s bulletin board at least 7 days prior to the scheduled amendment.
This amendment will be effective from January 2, 2021.
